Information On Boat Orders:


Custom boat orders are built to your specifications and, once started, generally take between four and six weeks to complete.

We occassionally have discounted boats in stock which can ship out immediately. Contact us for current availability.

COLORS: See our basic color palette to view standard color options. We can also mix most any natural hue that you desire. We will do our best to match what you want but exact tones are not guaranteed. Be a bit flexible with us.

When ordering, specify either a solid color design (same color deck/hull/seam) or a simple two color design (solid deck/seam color, solid hull color).

Note: Light colors like white and yellow usually require a thicker coat for satisfactory opaqueness. This may increase the weight of your boat by as much as 1.0 lbs.


PRICING:  To offer you cost flexibility, we utilize a simple a la carte price structure. You can order your boat unoutfitted, add outfitting parts that you install yourself, or have us do some or all of the outfitting installation for you.

Occasionally, we also have refurbished outfitting parts available at a deep discount.

We require a 50% down payment to begin work. The balance is due prior to shipping.

Review the outfitting selection guides and price summaries below to decide the best option for you: whether you want an empty boat that you outfit and customize yourself, the convenience of a fully outfitted boat that's ready to hit the water upon arrival, or something in between.


TIMING:  Boat orders generally take three to seven weeks (from the start date) to complete depending on the amount of outfitting work requested. Unoutfitted boats usually take 3-4 weeks. Fully outfitted boats take 5-7 weeks.

We will give you an estimated start date prior to ordering. If we are busy, your start date may be later than your order date. Your order date and down payment puts you in the queue for the next available start date.


SHIPPING/DELIVERY:  There are a number of ways to get your new boat to you. Some are more expensive than others and your choice depends on how soon you want it. Contact us to discuss your options. Here are a few of the more common ones:

  • meet-up - we currently do not have a retail outlet but we can arrange to meet you nearby if you are in North Alabama. Please note that transactions that occur within the state of Alabama are subject to sales tax of 9.5%.
  • delivery - we travel to paddle at various times throughout the year. Plan things out ahead of time and we can deliver your boat for free if we are coming your direction.
  • truck freight - we ship most of our boats via Fed Ex freight. Typical costs for the East Coast of the USA are in the range of $250-$350 to ship terminal to terminal depending on your location. Please contact us for a quote.
  • air freight - fly your boat to a terminal at your local airport. Customers outside of the USA are responsible for any customs fees, duties, and sales tax that may be charged at pickup. Please contact us for a quote.


PACKAGING:  We charge a flat fee of $30 for packaging materials for truck freight shipments within the U.S. For other means of shipping such as international air or ocean freight the boat will typically need to be crated which adds an additional cost.


BOAT SIZING:  Choosing the correct size boat is a personal preference. Generally speaking, select the boat size where your weight falls in the middle of the suggested weight range. If you find yourself near the top/bottom of the recommended range, you might decide to go one size up/down depending on your own personal paddling style and what's most important to you. Send us your height and weight when you order and we'll help you decide what size is best for you.
